Event Dialogue[]

Unrest between the tribes has been growing for some time. Border disputes have erupted into fighting. Cattle raids have turned into full-pitched battles. Now it seems that war has broken out. <V>, a trader of your clan, reports the loss of her trade goods during a battle between the <W> and <X> tribes. The <W tribe> ambushed the <X tribe> forces as part of an ongoing dispute over control of trade. <Y>, king of the <W tribe>, seeks to crush the <X tribe> by threatening traders who deal with his rivals. <Z>, king of the <X tribe>, promises to obliterate <Y> and his tribe. The result of this is that traders everywhere are staying home ~ <V>'s loss of your clan's goods is a prime example. |

Consequences[]
- Demanding compensation doesn't work. Nobody's going to admit any fault.
- Doing nothing will make the event repeat a few seasons later. Each time this event triggers, you lose 30 goods because one of your traders gets caught in the middle of a skirmish.
- If you offer to broker peace between the tribes, you will be asked who you want to send to each of the tribes. You will only be able to send someone with a high bargaining skill. If successful, you will arrange to meet in your tula. The next event will be Tribal Peace Negotiations. If you fail, the event will repeat a few seasons later.
- Unfortunately, Issaries cannot force the tribal kings to see reason. He can only point you in the correct direction -- that it is your responsibility to broker peace.
Notes[]
- With this event, you are potentially just a handful of years away from total victory or defeat.
