Event Dialogue[]

Convincing the kings of the <W> and <X> tribes to seek peace was the easy part. Now you must broker the fine details of an agreement between them, and it is always in the details that hopes for peace are lost. King <Y> of the <X> tribe complains that the traders of the <W tribe> take unfair advantage of his traders, and thus wants to make trade rules for both tribes. <Z>, King of the <W tribe> insists that <Y>'s accusations are baseless, and that he is motivated solely by greed and the need to control everyone and maintain the respect of others.

Consequences[]
- If you tell them that the tribes should form a town together, they may agree, leading you to the next event in the chain Building a Town.
- Breaking off negotiations will sour your relations with both tribes a little, as they will blame you for wasting their time.
- Threatening them to join with their enemy should they break the peace will only worsen things, for them as for you. This will lead to the Renewed Hostilities encounter.
- Having your lawspeakers mediate future disputes is a band-aid solution at best. It only leads to Mediating a Dispute, which is not the best path.
- Paying to settle future disputes will lead to a variation of Mediating a Dispute. Every few seasons, the tribes will have a dispute and demand about 20 goods from you.
