Happens when Chaos left unchecked
Requires Undead-hater on ring

A clansman will approach the ring with a tale of horror. He espied skeletal, winged creatures with fangs in the forests...and he hasn't been eating the mushrooms either.

Event Dialogue[]

<X>, a weaponthane of your clan, reports a terrifying encounter with skeletal creatures in the forest bordering your tula.  They were like skeletons, yet also like birds, and they had fangs!"  Without consulting with the other ring members, <Y> rallies four weaponthanes and heads out to do battle with the things.
  1. Sacrifice to Humakt to strengthen <Y>'s hand.
  2. Send others to join the fight.
  3. Send someone to take over from <Y> in leading the fight.
  4. Send more warriors, and someone to take over from <Y> in leading the fight.
  5. Wait for <Y> to return.

Consequences[]

This event is a combat, so no matter what choice you may, a victory will result in an improvement in clan morale, while defeat causes a decrease in morale.  Also, if defeated, your ring member may be wounded, or even killed.

  • Sacrificing to Humakt, if successful, may be the difference between life and death for <Y> (especially if <Y> is not a capable warrior).
  • <Y> may be disappointed to have others join him/her in the fight, but their strength can be an asset.
  • If the ring member isn't very strong in combat, then sending someone more experienced can also be the difference between victory and defeat. It is possible for <Y> to be killed when choosing this option.
  • Sending more warriors, and someone to take over may lead to <Y>'s disappointment, but there sometimes one's ego should take a backseat.
  • If you have utmost confidence, then wait for <Y> to return.  Of course, failure may result in a funeral bier.

Lore[]

It is not good to be obsessed with only one enemy, as <Y> is.
