Exploration of your tula can be dangerous, but often the risks are worth the rewards.
Event Dialogue[]
“ | Your explorers find an old series of sacred stones in a forest clearing, while exploring your tula. Your magicians say that the stones are probably inhabited by sleeping spirits.
|
” |
Consequences[]
- Conducting a divination is highly recommended (Option 2). You can get one of two responses. First (and best) response is that the spirits, if awakened (Option 4), can provide valuable insight to your crafters, and you can put out more trade goods in less time. The second response says the spirits will curse the clan with nightmares if awakened. However, you may wish to still awaken them if you get the 'cursed' response since divination can still be wrong.
- If you brag to your neighbors, it helps to have a good lawspeaker to get a positive reaction from other clans. Otherwise, they will react poorly as they wonder why you are so fascinated by a bunch of rocks.
- Digging up the stones can anger the spirits and cost you a lot of magic (it cost me 10), as well as curse you for a year, if you divined that the spirits were malign.
- If you have fair relations with shamans, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding some. There are one of two possible reactions if the stones are awakened, although if you conducted a divination (Option 2), then that response is most likely to happen. The preferred response is to get the stones that teach your crafters to be more efficient, while if you suffer a curse it will last for one year.
- Going about your business represents the status quo, and nothing positive nor negative happen.
If the spirits are positive:
“ | Shamans from the <X clan> came to help us. They awakened the spirits, who said that they would teach us many forgotten secrets of crafting, which would increase our success in trade. | ” |
