As Dragon Pass becomes settled once more, ties of trade bind the various Orlanthi tulas. However, this clan is generally acknowledged as the best traders in the land. A tribe will benefit from their inclusion, but you must prove you are friendly to commerce to gain their support. Honoring Issaries wouldn't go amiss, either.

Event Dialogue[]
“ |
Your emissaries approach <X clan> with an offer of membership with the new tribe. They are well-known for their aggressive trading practices, and have many demands. The <X clan> want the Issaries seat on the tribal council in perpetuity. They want better terms when their trade goods are bartered for cows or food. They want each clan to supply guards for their trade missions. Finally, they demand that each new king take an oath to fight bandits as part of the rites of kingship. |

Consequences[]
- Agreeing to an anti-banditry oath is aruably the easiest concession to give this clan. It will foster trade, though you may be called upon more often to put down bandits infesting the roads and paths of your tribe.
- Trade depends on the safety of caravans, and one such way is agreeing to guards for each trade mission. You can decide how many warriors each clan will provide for protection on a scale between 1 and 10. The more guards provided, the happier the <X clan>, but promising too many will upset the other clans in your nascent tribe.
- As other clans are helping to foster trade, it is only fit that the <X clan> give some recompense in exchange. One way to do that is demand they give a percentage of their gains to the king. You will be asked how big of a share they should give: 1/50 cows, 1/20 cows or 1/10 cows. The smaller the share, the more likely the <X clan> will go along with this.
- Reliant as they are on trade, this clan also holds the god of merchants in high regard. Giving them the Issaries seat is another easy concession to give them.
- If nothing else seems to work, you can give gifts. The more cattle/goods you give, the better the reaction.
- You may decide this clan is too troublesome to do deal with, or they may see little in their favor to to join your tribe. As such, you may find yourself abandoning negotiations. If this happens, any gifts you gave earlier remains with this clan.
